The legendary “Unusual Concert” showed the S. V. Obraztsov Puppet Theater on the stage of Kupalovsky

“Extraordinary concert” was demonstrated by the State Academic Central Puppet Theater named after S. V. Obraztsov from Moscow on the stage of the National Academic Theater named after Y. Kupala. Correspondents of the Minsk-Novosti agency saw a unique performance that is already 80 years old.

I must admit, as a child, I saw this production on TV. Eduard Aplombov spoke with the voice of the incomparable People's Artist of the USSR Zinovy Gerdt, let go of jokes and wit. And the comic puppet revue, where artists parodied singers, dancers, musicians, trainers and magicians, seemed like a real concert. Now the Moscow theater for the first time performed in Kupalovsky, and to see the production turned out live.

Acting Director of the S. V. Obraztsov Puppet Theater Ilya Morozov said that the performance changes in preparation for the tour and adapts to the language and culture of the country in which it will be shown. The entertainer teaches the text in a foreign language, and the interpreter helps to adapt the jokes so that they are understandable to local viewers. A man in a white coat always rides with the troupe, who is ready to give first aid to the dolls at any time: repair the broken “artist” quickly so that the audience does not even notice. Clothes are updated over time, but the styles and their unique mechanics do not change. Good things are not to be improved.

Honored Artist of Russia Andrey Nechaev, who worked in several theaters before getting into the major leagues, is sure that working with the doll remains a priority.

- The most important thing is the ability to revive the inanimate. This is our profession, he stressed.

Igor Morozov noted that cooperation with Belarusian colleagues will continue. He invited them to master classes and laboratories, conferences that are held in the theater.

The performance was sold out, there were no free seats in the hall. However, on October 11, you can also enjoy an extraordinary concert. The puppets will appear before the audience in all their glory, and the puppet artists will demonstrate skill and talent.
