Special children mastered the monotype of ancient petroglyphs of Dagestan

Dagestan Museum of Fine Arts joined the project “Genius of the Place” organized by the Central City Children’s Library. The event took place on October 26.

It was attended by the students of the Development Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities and Disabled Children “Miraj”. The creative lesson was conducted by a senior researcher of the museum, graphic artist Jannat Hajiyeva - the guys plunged into the world of monotype, a technique that allows you to create unique prints.

Young artists were offered ready-made stencils - positives and negatives. Combining them, children created their own compositions with solar symbols, images of animals and hunters, and each chose the color solution to their taste. The source of inspiration were ancient petroglyphs discovered in Dagestan.
