Satka received the status of “Small cultural capital-2027”
This decision was announced at a ceremony on October 26

This decision was announced at a ceremony on October 26. The city was also awarded a diploma in the nomination “People’s vote”, said the press service of the regional government.
The ceremony was opened by Governor Alexei Texler and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the contest “Cultural Capital of Russia 2027” Nikolai Novichkov. The head of the region recalled that the idea of the “Small Cultural Capital” was born in the Southern Urals – here they decided to go to the municipal level for the first time.
The competition was launched on the initiative of the governor and the decision of the organizing committee of the project. 33 municipalities participated, ten reached the final. The victory gives Satka the right to implement its own cultural projects in 2027.
Nikolai Novichkov noted that the competition set a fundamentally new format - before such a status was not assigned anywhere. According to Alexey Teksler, the new status will help attract tourists, investors and young professionals and strengthen the image of the territories as promising places for life and creativity.
The finalists were awarded diplomas, and the title “Resident of the Cultural Capital” was awarded to the rector of the Chelyabinsk State Institute of Culture Sergey Sinetsky.
If Chelyabinsk is the cultural capital of Russia, then a small cultural capital is not just a title for the region, but a status for the whole country. This is a great honor and a great responsibility, the head of the region concluded.
South Ural residents are offered to choose the “Small cultural capital” of the region
