The plot revolves around a mysterious murder in the office of a Paris notary. The investigation is entrusted to the best inspector of the criminal police, who the day before caught a cold. On the spot it turns out that the corpse was discovered by the secretary of the notary - a long-time youthful love of the detective. The wacky heroine loves crime novels and decides to take the investigation into her own hands. Amateur secretary confuses the cards of the police, but gives the audience a classic comedy of positions.
