In Arkhangelsk are preparing a musical performance “Live tales of Pomorie”
In the Museum of Artist and Storyteller C

In the Museum of the artist and storyteller S. G. Pisakhov presented a cultural and educational project “Live fairy tales of Pomorie”. The audience was shown musical instruments and a fragment of the future play based on four works by Stepan Pisakhov: “Northern Lights”, “Nalim Malinich”, “Our Rainbow” and “A Month from the Heavenly Attic”.
The project is implemented by the Center for Creative Industries "Fa-Dies" with the support of the Governor's Center of the Arkhangelsk region "Together we are stronger". The team continues to popularize the heritage of northern writers since 2024: previously, with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, the project “The Magic Ring” and productions based on fairy tales by Denis Makurin were created.
The main feature of the new work is the sound of folk and rare instruments, including author’s. Central place is given to the harps. “Gusli is originally a fabulous instrument. The Northern fairy tale begins in epic times, when storytellers performed works under the harp. Thus, the continuity of the tradition, which was brought to us by Boris Shergin, Stepan Pisakhov and other northern storytellers, is preserved, explained guslyar and toolmaker Mikhail Razumov.
The performance will be complemented by theatrical elements and visual images: a magical chest with fairy tales, glowing northern lights, star rain, a month from the sky attic and the hero Nalim Malinich.
The authors hope to regain interest in live reading. Today, the live word, unfortunately, loses to cartoons and bright pictures in the smartphone. But it is through a fairy tale that children get acquainted with the concepts of good and evil, learn to respect loved ones and be honest. And fairy tales of their native land help them to know and feel the place in which they live, said project manager Marina Zabolotnaya.
In addition to the performance, the team prepared an educational program: four master classes on acquaintance with musical instruments and playing the harp. The premiere is scheduled for December 2026, the screenings will be held in January 2027 at the Pisakhov Museum and the Solombal Library named after B. V. Shergin.
