Acting Chairman of the Government of Dagestan Magomed Ramazanov allocated 15 million rubles from the reserve fund for the creation of a digital library of texts and audio recordings in the languages of the peoples of the republic. The corresponding order is published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic.
The funds will be sent to the Ministry of Digital Development, Information and Press of Dagestan. Work on the creation of corpuses of national languages was organized on the basis of the Dagestan Research Institute of Pedagogy.
A test version of the technical platform has already been developed. The project provides for the translation of 50 thousand pairs of parallel sentences in Avar, Dargin, Kumyk, Lezgin, Lak and Tabasaran languages. It is also planned to professionally record and voice information materials, as well as develop a technical platform for expanding the language model.
After the completion of this stage, the Ministry of Digital Affairs of Dagestan will begin the language adaptation of the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services.
