In Yaroslavl instead of the stadium “Shinnik” will be a new arena for 12 thousand spectators

In Yaroslavl, they plan to build a new football stadium on the site of the current Shinnik arena. The capacity of the future object will be about 12 thousand spectators. Construction is expected to be completed by 2030. About the plans told the Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Evraev during a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the government.

The project was initiated by PSB. The need to update the sports infrastructure is connected with the condition of the current stadium, which was built in 1957 and is now assessed as unsatisfactory.

The arena construction project is being implemented against the backdrop of the expansion of PSB presence in the region. According to the Chairman of the Bank Peter Fradkov, by the end of 2030, about five thousand jobs are planned to be transferred to the Yaroslavl region. This process has already begun.
