In Russia, the number of manufacturers of ready-made food is growing
As of October 1, there were 2,710 manufacturers of ready-made food in Russia, the service “Contour. Focus” calculated. According to him, this is 10% more than in the same period last year. This category showed the highest growth in the segment of the food industry, said the representative of this company. For comparison, the number of producers of cocoa, chocolate and sugar products increased by 7.9% to 2737, crackers, biscuits and long-term cakes - by 7.1% to 3637, bread and flour confectionery - by 5.9% to 22,381, pet food - by 4.6% to 1014. At the same time, in some industries, the number of players almost did not change or, conversely, decreased. For example, producers of feed for farm animals for the year became only 0.3% more (up to 1722 companies), and organizations engaged in milling and cereal products, 4% less (up to 2192).
