Why economists' inflation expectations are worse than Minek's forecast
Participants in the macroeconomic survey of the Central Bank for October increased expectations for inflation at the end of the year from 6.6% expected in September to 7.1%, follows from the data on the website of the Bank of Russia (the survey was conducted from 9 to 13 October among 31 economists). Respondents’ estimates were higher than expectations of the Ministry of Economic Development: in September, the agency raised its inflation forecast for the end of the year from 5.2 to 6.8%.
