Oncology of a resident of the SEZ of Moscow received a national quality mark

The capital authorities form on the basis of the special economic zone (SEZ) "Technopolis Moscow" the country's largest pharmaceutical cluster. As a result of this work, ten SEZ residents are already producing innovative medicines of a wide spectrum of action at this site, and the first domestic biosimilar of a drug for the treatment of head and neck cancer was awarded by specialists of the Russian Export Center with a certificate “Made in Russia” in the category “Reliability”. This was stated by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.

“The obtained status confirms the compliance of the products of the capital manufacturer with strict quality standards and guarantees him the receipt of measures of state support when promoting the drug to foreign markets,” the vice-mayor stressed.

The drug, which belongs to the class of monoclonal antibodies, and its action inhibits the growth of tumor cells and prevents the development of metastases, is produced by the Sputnik Technopolis plant, which is part of the R-Pharm group of companies. The full cycle of drug production, including the production of active pharmaceutical substance, is implemented at the plant of the resident of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow. Previously, the company has already mastered the production of other vital drugs, including drugs for the treatment of a wide range of cancer and autoimmune diseases, including breast cancer, lymphoma, and rheumatoid arthritis.

The “Made in Russia” program is coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the main functions for its implementation are assigned to the Russian Export Center. The program promotes domestic brands to foreign markets and guarantees the reliability of Russian manufacturers as suppliers of quality products. The corresponding certificate gives the right to apply the poultry mark in the colors of the Russian flag on products, and the products of the program participants are actively promoted abroad, primarily in the most promising and priority markets, including China and the Middle East.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin declared October 2026 Moscow Industry Month. The program includes more than 25 events for business, students, young professionals, city residents and tourists. The capital will host the Moscow Investment and Industrial Forum, Career Day, dynasties award ceremony, as well as more than 20 excursions to modern high-tech production sites and open educational lectures. For the first time, the city will host the International Forum of Special Economic Zones, among whose guests are planned delegations of partners from BRICS countries, the EAEU and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Special economic zone "Technopolis Moscow" in 2026 celebrates the 20th anniversary of its foundation. Currently, more than 250 high-tech enterprises operate on ten sites of the zone with a total area of 430 hectares. They produce products in the fields of not only microelectronics, but also instrumentation, biomedicine, information technology, robotics and many others. Earlier, the Moscow authorities reported that one of the residents of the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow for ten years of work produced more than 4 thousand products for resuscitation and intensive care, including artificial ventilation devices.

The Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy considers the development of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone as one of the tools to support industry and produce domestic high-tech products. According to the city authorities, the work of SEZ residents is connected with the tasks of the national project “Effective and Competitive Economy”.
