The shortage of gasoline in the domestic market of Russia is about 5%. This was reported in an interview with IS “Vesti” Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
“As for motor gasoline, the situation in the domestic market remains quite tense, although it has improved in the past few weeks. And we see this in the situation at gas stations and in the regions. But, nevertheless, there is still a partial deficit in the market of about 5%, Novak said.
To cover the shortfall, the authorities are working to “transfer repairs to oil refineries,” and companies “maximise production capacity” and ensure gasoline supplies from other countries, Novak added. According to him, this work is carried out “on a daily basis”.
The government, the Ministry of Energy and the FAS also pay attention to controlling prices and preventing their overstatement, the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
