Moskabel Plant expands line of cables for power facilities

The Moskabel Plant (part of the Moskabelmet Group of Companies) in 2026 mastered the production of innovative products - a new series of medium voltage power cables. They are designed for industrial sites, energy systems and transport infrastructure. The expansion of the range of the Moscow enterprise was announced by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Anatoly Garbuzov.

“Capital manufacturers develop and produce products for the reliable operation of urban infrastructure,” Garbuzov said. This year, Moskabel Plant expanded its line of power cables. The new series is designed for a wide range of tasks, including the supply of electricity to transport facilities.” The head of the department paid special attention to the fact that the Moskabel Plant has the status of an industrial complex and receives the support of the capital authorities in the form of tax benefits.

Cables are used to transmit and distribute electricity. The new series is characterized by strength, resistance to low temperatures and properties that are necessary for objects with increased fire safety requirements. So, innovative cables do not spread combustion when laid close to each other. Their shell does not contain halogens and in case of fire does not emit gaseous products that cause corrosion.

The line includes products with copper and aluminum veins of different sections. Depending on the operating conditions, the design can provide various screens and protective elements.

According to Pavel Moryakov, General Director of Moskabelmet Group, a variety of designs allows you to select cables for the requirements of a specific project.

So, one of the options is designed for a voltage of 15 kilowatts and has a copper vein with a cross section of 500 square meters. mm and a copper screen with a cross section of 120 square meters. mm. “A set of three such products is capable of transmitting up to 26.6 megawatts of power. This is comparable to the simultaneous consumption of about 5 thousand apartments, if each has a load of 5.4 kilowatts, — said the sailor.

In total, there are more than 4.7 thousand industrial enterprises in Moscow, where 767 thousand people are employed. About 150 new innovative enterprises are opened in the capital every year. From the city authorities, more than 20 support measures are available to Moscow manufacturers - not only tax benefits, as in the case of Moskabel Plant, but also interest compensation on investment loans and much more.

October 2026, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin declared Moscow Industry Month. The program includes more than 25 events for business, students, young professionals, residents and tourists. Among them are the Second Moscow Investment and Industrial Forum (to be held from October 20 to 25 on the territory of the SEZ Technopolis Moscow), Career Day, over 20 excursions to production sites, an all-Russian hackathon and open lectures. For the first time, Moscow will host the International Forum of Special Economic Zones with the participation of partners from the BRICS, EAEU and SCO countries.
