The head of the Central Bank said the absence of risks to the financial stability of Russia

There are no risks to the financial stability of the Russian economy now, the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina said during a press conference. RBC is broadcasting.

“There are no risks to financial stability, in general, financial stability now, so this could not be a factor in the decision,” she said.

Nabiullina noted that despite the increase in the forecast for the key rate, it assumes a decrease in the average key rate next year. “This means that there is no reason to fear some massive deterioration in the financial position of solvent companies next year,” the head of the Central Bank added.

Today, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia left the key rate unchanged at 14% per annum. A similar decision was made at the September meeting, the first pause in monetary easing (MEP) in more than a year.
