Agricultural complex of Kostroma region increased production by 7%

The volume of production of agricultural products and goods of the agro-industrial complex of the Kostroma region approached 40 billion rubles. According to published data, this is 7% more than the previous year.

Growth is noted in the production of eggs, milk, meat, butter and confectionery. Among the enterprises making a significant contribution to the development of the industry are Galichskoye Poultry Farms, Kostroma and Nerekhta poultry farms, as well as the Ladygino, Karavaevo and Shuvalovo farms.

Agrocombine "Vysokovsky" increases the production of fresh vegetables. The company fully meets the needs of the region in the production of protected soil and expands supplies to other regions. In 2024, more than five thousand tons of cucumbers were collected here, which allowed the farm to become one of the Russian leaders in this direction.

The clean-up campaign was successful despite fuel supply disruptions. Additional measures have been taken to provide farmers with fuel. Among the farms that distinguished themselves according to the results of harvesting, named "Volga Dali", "Suchchevo", "Dream", "Kostrom potato" and "Minsk".

Another initiative was the organization of direct sales of vegetables from the fields without intermediaries. It was joined by 16 farms, thanks to which residents of the region were able to purchase products for winter stocks at lower costs.

At the solemn meeting on the eve of the professional holiday of farmers, Governor Sergey Sitnikov thanked the industry workers and noted their contribution to the development of regional agriculture. Representatives of enterprises also stressed that state and departmental awards serve as recognition of their work and an incentive to further improve the quality of work.
