In Moscow, the Governor of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov met with the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov. The head of the region reported on the current execution of the regional budget, increasing the efficiency of using funds and ensuring a balanced budget.

This year, to reduce the debt burden, the Ministry of Finance wrote off 2.1 billion rubles of debt to the federal budget for individual budget loans to Vologda. In addition, the maturity of the debt from 2026-2029 was postponed to 2030-2033. The amount of this amount is 3.5 billion rubles.

This year, the federal treasury provides for the region about 19 billion rubles and targeted inter-budget transfers and more than 9 billion rubles of budget loans.

In the Vologda region, we are working to optimize costs and take measures to strengthen the financial stability of the region. We pay special attention to unconditional fulfillment of social obligations to residents and financing of priority areas of development, Governor Georgy Filimonov said.
