The Ministry of Economy is open to any deeply developed proposals for the implementation of the five-year goals. This was stated by Minister of Economy Yuri Chebotar, opening the plenary session of the XXVII International Scientific Conference “Problems of Forecasting and State Regulation of Socio-Economic Development”, the correspondent of sb.by reports.

In his welcoming speech, the head of the department recalled that a year earlier, the draft Program for Social and Economic Development for 2026-2030 was discussed at this platform. This document was approved by the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly and is being implemented. Accordingly, today on the agenda is the search for more effective solutions to the tasks set, new potential points of economic growth. In this regard, Yuri Chebotar called on the participants to take into account the following criteria of validity when formulating their initiatives:
- First, the measurability of the contribution to general indicators: value added, labor productivity, exports and so on. Moreover, it is necessary to take into account not only the direct effect, but also the impact on related industries, suppliers, and the region.
Secondly, according to the Minister, it is important to take into account the availability of markets.
- Each offer should answer the questions: where the buyer comes from and why he will choose a Belarusian product or service. Thirdly, the availability of resources, first of all – personnel. Without it, the project is likely to remain on paper. Fourth, the cost to the state. We must clearly understand the economic effect of the ruble tax benefits and budget investments, and not use tools that do not work, – said the Minister.
Speaking about the available reserves, the head of the economic department outlined several directions.
- Traditional industries – capacity utilization, equipment upgrade, deeper processing of own raw materials into a product with higher added value. Service sector – here relatively small investments can quickly achieve a good economic effect. For its part, the Ministry of Economy is open to any deeply developed proposals for the implementation of the five-year goals, Yuri Chebotar summed up.
