Two crushing lines will be reconstructed at the Glushkevichy Shchubzavod in the Lelchitsky district in this five-year plan

Branch gravel plant "Glushkevichi" KPRSUP "Gomelobldorstroy", located in the Lelchitsky district of the Gomel region, is waiting for technological update. Today, this enterprise occupies 27.7 percent of the total industrial production of the district. Here the production of crushed stone of all fractions, gravel-sand-grave mixtures, weeding, mudstone and cobblestone, used mainly in construction, writes sb.by.

The richest deposits of rocks in the Lelchitsky district made the Glushkevichy Shchubzavod one of the brightest enterprises in the region. A new stage in the development of the plant began in 2018, when the development of a unique deposit of facing stone in the Career of Hope began. Today there are four production sites: mining, crushing and sorting, transport and stoneworking workshop. The company is developing dynamically, but the specifics of production require periodic updating. Over the past couple of years, three BelAZ dump trucks, three loaders, and a MAZ car have been purchased. The crushing equipment also wears out. In January 2025, the project for the reconstruction of the technological crushing line No. 2 was completed, which allowed to increase the output of crushed stone of small fractions by 2.7 times. In the upcoming five-year plan, it is planned to reconstruct the technological crushing lines No. 1 and line No. 4.

- As for the modernization of the first technological line, the architectural project has been prepared, the construction project is being finalized. The question of sources of funding will then be considered. This line will be modernized both at its own expense and at the expense of budget. Compared to the one we upgraded in 2025, it will be more powerful. Taking into account the complete modernization, in terms of production volumes, we are going specifically along this line from 360,000 tons per year to 450,000 tons.

90% of the products produced by the plant are supplied to the structural units of Gomelobldorstroy, some are sold for export. Basically, the rubble goes to repair roads. But in the track record of the enterprise there are many iconic objects built or upgraded with the help of the rock mined here. Products made of granite were used in the reconstruction of the Friendship Monument (“Three Sisters”), located in the Dobrush district of the Gomel region, the restoration of the Victory Monument in Minsk, the reconstruction of the Mound of Glory Monument, the memorials “Khatyn”, “Ola”, “Partisan Krinichka”, the complex of military glory in honor of Operation Bagration. The stone from the quarries in Glushkovichi was used in the improvement of facilities in Petrikov, Korma, Oktyabrsky, Lelchitsy, the arrangement of pockets at public transport stops in Mogilev, Bobruisk and Brest, the repair of the Mir cinema in Mozyr, the reconstruction of the palace ensemble in Svyatsk, Grodno region, Partizan Square in the city of Bryansk and other facilities.
