This year, corn in Grodno, as well as throughout the country, was dried and poured. However, employees of agricultural enterprises of the region with the help of the latest technologies and hard work of farmers have achieved record harvests: 340 centners per hectare on average gives corn per silage, 110 centners per hectare – corn per grain.

According to the leadership of the regional committee on agriculture and food, until October 20, all corn on the silo will be in the bins. Three-quarters of the area has been removed. About 3 million tons of succulent feed for cattle will be harvested.

According to Igor Sorokin, Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, this volume is enough to feed 600 thousand cattle contained in the livestock complexes of Prinemanya.

Traditionally in the leaders in terms of the pace of agricultural work (and yield!) Grodno district. Here, for example, corn per silage on average gives more than 400 centners per circle.

Here, at the same time, a whole range of autumn fieldwork is being carried out, and the yield of corn per green mass is impressive - 470 centners per hectare! Farmers from this farm are at the forefront not only in the region, but also in the region.

The measured hum of powerful diesel engines is heard in the fields located in the vicinity of the agro-town of Ratichi, Grodno district. Local farmers plow the soil for the future harvest, and also actively harvest corn for silage and grain. And in the mechmaster - rhythmic knocking of sledgehammers, the ringing of metal, the crackling of welding and the noise of the Bulgarian. Employees of the agricultural enterprise "Niva-2003" change worn-out knots and mechanisms, preparing heavy equipment for winter storage and conservation. Autumn is eight jobs! For farmers, this is a very difficult and no less important period. And the count sometimes goes not for days, but for hours.

The course of the case is introduced by the chief agronomist of the SEC "Niva-2003" Ivan Matyuk:

- At the end of September, they began harvesting corn for silage (an area of 550 hectares, a yield of about 470 centners per hectare), and since the beginning of this week they began harvesting corn for grain. We have 600 hectares of land, and we plan to manage this type of agricultural work in two weeks. Also, we quickly raise cherries, make plowing and deep-popping. In parallel, we clean the arable land from stones and remove apples in the garden. We planted 1,470 hectares of winter crops and 650 hectares of rapeseed. In order to achieve the usual high yields, we strictly observe all technologies at all stages of agricultural work and introduce digitalization, including precision agriculture. But the main factor is people! Anatoly Kuchinsky, Andrei Krivitsky, Dmitry Sergit, Tadeusz Kazakevich, Tomasz Zmitrovich, Mechislav Terebey, Vladimir Kuskov, Vyacheslav Kovrakh, Sergey Krasnitsky..

Driving on the farm and near the village of Kulakovshchina we see a new energy-saturated tractor "Belarus-3522". The universal worker quickly walks along the field, then deftly climbs a small hill, turns around and drives towards us. Behind him are perfectly smooth furrows.

Meet you. Tractor-machinist Dmitry Sergit. 24 years. Local, from the nearby village of Labno-Gardeniki. The young mechanic briefly describes himself:

My dad works in a local farm, so I decided to stay here and, as they say, put down roots. Married, the management immediately provided housing - a three-room comfortable apartment. The wife works here, in a store selling products of SEC "Niva-2003". He's working for me! The technique is excellent, domestic, does not fail. "Belarus-3522" - a rare worker: energy-saturated, powerful - 360 horsepower. Nice modification! In addition, almost new, received it on June 7, 2026. I am currently working on deep soiling. The land treated in this way retains and accumulates moisture so necessary for the harvest, oxygen penetrates into it better. I plow at least 30 hectares a day. They pay well, they don't hurt.

At the production site in the tract "Ginovichi" remove corn on a silo. Strategically important for the development of animal husbandry, the culture reached a height of up to three meters. And the yield is under 500 centners per hectare. The feed harvester does not stand idle, and the fresh harvest of green mass is promptly loaded into the bodies of MAZ.

Overhead is a gloomy autumn sky, but I do not cease to be surprised by the positive attitude of the agrarians. One of them is Anatoly Kuchinsky, a young but experienced tractor driver on the farm for a decade and a half. Anatoly Ivanovich pauses in the working process literally in two or three minutes and says:

- You see this vast field? I planted it, then processed it, now I clean it. I load 800-850 tons of green mass per day. The harvester is fast and maneuverable. The front is big, but I like it. And the hot time of autumn field work is an excellent help in material terms. I am a father of many children, we are raising three school children with my wife, so finances will never be superfluous

Sergey Sonchik, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee:

- As of noon on October 14, the region harvested over 70 percent of corn for silage and 21 percent of corn for grain. I am glad that the yield is higher than in 2025: by 15 and 12 centners per hectare, respectively. Gross harvest of corn for grain is expected in the region of 500 thousand tons, for silage - 3 million tons. In addition, the agrarians of the region are actively removing potatoes (85 percent of the plan, the yield of 313 centners per hectare, added 17 centners per hectare to the level of last year) and sugar beet (about 60 percent of the plan, 594 centners per hectare, an increase in yield to the indicator of 2025 - 9 centners per hectare).
