The overhaul of the M-2 highway in the Tula region will cost 209 million rubles

The section of the federal highway M-2 "Crimea" in the Tula region is preparing for a large-scale renovation. As part of the first stage of repair work, a major overhaul of the 7,054-kilometer section will be carried out. 209.6 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

The reconstruction project provides for a comprehensive renovation of the roadway, taking into account modern safety and comfort requirements. The road will correspond to category II with an estimated speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

The main parameters of the renovated route include four lanes with a width of 3.5 meters each, curbs with a width of 2.5 meters, a dividing lane with a width of 3.1 to 4.9 meters, a modern barrier fence to improve safety.

The road surface will be made according to modern multilayer technology using the upper layer of crushed-mastic asphalt mixture, the lower layer of asphalt concrete mixture of increased strength, the base of modern organic mineral materials.

Special attention in the project is paid to strengthening the roadsides and the organization of drainage. It is envisaged to strengthen the roadsides with crushed stone, followed by impregnation with bitumen and landscaping.
