Chinese business to expand presence in non-commodity segment of Belarusian commodity exchange market
The development of exchange trade in non-commodity goods between Belarus and China meets the strategic interests of both parties, allowing to increase the share of products from the Russian Federation.

The development of exchange trade in non-primary goods between Belarus and China meets the strategic interests of both parties, allowing to increase the share of products with high added value in the structure of mutual trade and create favorable conditions for industrial cooperation. As a result, not only does the margin of exchange sales increase, but additional opportunities open up for further strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. This opinion was expressed by the heads of Chinese trade and production organizations who visited the central office of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange at the invitation of the BUCE representative office in Shanghai. Details sb.by reported in the press service of the exchange.

The purpose of the visit of the business delegation of China is to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the Belarusian exchange platform for subsequent participation in bidding as sellers and buyers. Since the beginning of the year, 112 new companies from China have been accredited on the exchange, which is the highest indicator in the history of cooperation between Belarus and China in the exchange sector.

- This year, Chinese businesses are showing unprecedented interest in the Belarusian stock market. This is reflected both in the number of accredited companies, the number of which has already reached 459, and in the dynamics of the transaction amount - plus 12 percent compared to January-September 2025. At the same time, the volume of exchange sales of Chinese equipment, machinery, spare parts and components by direct manufacturers increased by 5 percent. In turn, Belarusian bidders increased the supply of flax processing products to China by 7 times in value terms. Thus, non-resource exports using the exchange mechanism demonstrates high growth rates both from Belarus and from the PRC, German Puzyrny, Deputy Head of the BUCE Foreign Economic Affairs Department, said during talks with representatives of Chinese business circles.

According to the results of 9 months of 2026, the share of exports of Belarusian goods in the total amount of exchange transactions of Chinese residents on BUCE amounted to 90 percent. Compared to January-September 2025, this figure increased by 3 percent.
