In the Moscow office of Rosseti Center, the in-person regional stage of the Central Cluster of the Rosseti Group Corporate Championship was held by the decision of Case-R engineering cases.
For the victory fought nine teams from Moscow, Yaroslavl, Smolensk, Belgorod, Tver and Voronezh, representing the companies Rosseti Center, Rosseti Moscow region and the branch of PJSC "Rosseti" - MES Center.
According to the results of the defense, the first place was taken by the team of the branch of PJSC Rosseti Center - Yarenergo. The second was the team of the branch of PJSC "Rosseti" - MES Center. The third place was taken by the team of PJSC Rosseti Moscow Region.
The participants had to solve the problem of developing a power supply system for the conceptual city of Pobeda, ensuring a balance of reliability and economic efficiency, as well as justify the proposed engineering solutions and provide for the use of modern technologies.
Young professionals defended their projects before the expert committee. A feature of the championship was a cross-evaluation of performances: teams’ projects were evaluated by experts from other clusters. This approach allowed for an independent view of the presented solutions and a unified approach to the evaluation of work on the basis of established criteria.
Yarenergo team will present the Central Cluster at the final competitions in Moscow.
“In engineering tasks, there is rarely the only obvious solution: reliability, cost, technological capabilities and the future of the system must be taken into account. The ability to see the task as a whole and justify the choice taking into account these factors is an important component of energy professionalism. The Case-R Championship allows young specialists to test their approaches in practice, present solutions to experts and gain experience that will be useful to them in their further work, said Boris Ebzeev, General Director of Rosseti Centre, the managing organization of Rosseti Centre and Volga Region.
