Leningrad gas stations began to switch to winter diesel fuel

Gas stations in the Leningrad region began to gradually switch from summer to winter diesel fuel. This is necessary to reduce the risk of failures in the fuel system and car breakdowns in winter, the press service of the regional government reported.

There is no single day to switch to winter fuel. This usually happens in October, depending on weather conditions. Winter diesel fuel, depending on the class, retains its operational properties at temperatures from -25 to -35 degrees.

We also add that winter diesel fuel is usually more expensive than summer. This is due to more complex production technology and additional costs for special additives.

Earlier, “MK in Leningrad region” said that in the Lomonosov district, the Prosecutor’s office checked the readiness of road workers for the winter.
