Leningrad region will establish cooperation with shipbuilders of Nizhny Novgorod

Representatives of 13 enterprises of the shipbuilding cluster of the Leningrad region arrived in Nizhny Novgorod, the press service of the regional government told. The purpose of the visit is to establish cooperation with local shipyards and design bureaus, well-known on the Russian and world markets, to integrate Leningrad manufacturers into the production chains of Nizhny Novgorod shipbuilders.

Leningrad residents plan to visit the plants: "Red Sormovo" and "Volga", KB "Vympel", production of GC "R-Flot" and Oka shipyard. And also to visit the Alekseev Central Design Bureau and GAMA Group.

And the members of the Leningrad delegation were representatives of the "Vsevolozhsk crane plant", GZMT "Silov", "LOZ-SZMA", "High Structure Plant", "Plastic Plant No. 1", "PP Abrasive Materials", "STELS", "PC "MS", "ZSM "DEKA", "NEMO", "TRITMENT", "anticorrosion protective coatings of SPB", "AMEO-West".

Nizhny Novgorod has long played a prominent role in shipbuilding in Russia. In the city on the Volga, warships, submarines, cruise liners, and hydrofoil vessels are being built. Nizhny Novgorod shipbuilding is competitive at the global level. For example, in 2018, Balt Fleet 16 was built at the famous Krasnoye Sormovo plant. According to open sources, it was included in the list of the best ships of 2017, published by the British Royal Society of Ship Engineers.

Earlier, “MK in Leningrad” said that a delegation of representatives of Leningrad business also visited Mumbai. The purpose of the negotiations was to establish direct contacts and cooperation with Indian companies.
