Minsk Motor Plant is working on expanding the range of engines produced. This was reported to journalists by the chief designer of the Minsk Motor Plant Mikhail Klesso.

- In particular, we are working on the creation of an engine of 9.5 liters, completed the production of a prototype of 14 liters. We also have a 2.5-liter engine. We are engaged in marine topics, river themes, as well as expanding the use of engines of the Minsk Motor Plant to various types of equipment.

- We made the engine with a working volume of 14 liters, where there will be a capacity of 450-550 horsepower. This engine is just designed for harvesters produced by Gomselmash.
Mikhail Klesso drew attention to the fact that to expand the range of engines produced, new production capacities and modernization of existing ones are needed:
- At some facilities that exist today at the Minsk Motor Plant, this will be difficult. Because in the production of engines that are developed and appear in the line of MMZ, completely new technical and technological solutions will be used. Accordingly, modernization is required. That's why we want to do it. And in the near future, a lot of work is planned to modernize the existing production, which will allow us to produce not only our serial engines, but also engines that are already being developed again.

For several years, MMZ has been implementing an investment project to create a high-tech modern production of engines with a capacity of 5 to 3,500 horsepower. This year, it is planned to complete preparations for the production of small diesel engines with a working volume of up to 2.5 liters, which will allow to produce up to 7,500 units of this product per year.
Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin visits Minsk Motor Plant on September 11. The focus of the head is to consider the strategy for the further development of the domestic engine industry. Turchin visits Minsk Motor Plant
