MTS was the first to connect to the biostation of YarSU “Uleima” in the Myshkin district
MTS was the first of the operators to provide mobile communication to residents of the villages of Kryukovo of the Volga rural settlement and Starovo Okhotnsky rural settlement of the Myshkin municipal district of the Yaroslavl region

MTS was the first operator to provide mobile communication to residents of the villages of Kryukovo of the Volga rural settlement and Starovo Okhotinsky rural settlement of the Myshkin municipal district of the Yaroslavl region. The company’s specialists have installed domestic base stations “IRTEIA”, thanks to which digital services have become available to local residents, tourists, as well as scientists and students in the protected area of the district.
Russian telecom equipment works in GSM and LTE standards, and the speed of mobile Internet reaches 50 Mbps. Now local residents of Kryukovo and Starov can make calls, use instant messengers, go online, receive government and other digital services, and use online services for work and study. The coverage also extends to the surrounding areas, including directions to the villages of Harinskoye, Druzhinskaya and Rechkovo, providing the opportunity to stay in touch while traveling around the district.
The new coating appeared in the territory, which is important not only for local residents, but also for educational and scientific activities. Not far from Starov is the biological station "Uleima" Yaroslavl State University named after P.G. Demidov. Here, students undergo training and field practices in biology and ecology, study the plant and animal world, and conduct research. Near Starov is the so-called Cape of Biologists - a popular parking place for tourists and locals on the shore in the area of the confluence of Juhot and Uleima. Thus, the new coating will be in demand not only in the villages themselves, but also among those who come here for educational practices, research, recreation and travel.
The project in Kryukov and Starov is especially important for us, because here the development of the network solves several tasks at once. First of all, we provide modern mobile communications to residents of small settlements, where there was none before. At the same time, new infrastructure is also in demand for scientific purposes. Reliable communication and mobile Internet will become an additional tool for students of NRSU in educational and scientific work: they will help to quickly receive information, use digital services and maintain communication with the university. In general, this year MTS is consistently developing the network in different municipal districts of the Yaroslavl region, including where mobile communication was previously absent. The emergence of base stations becomes the basis for the further development of digital infrastructure – from residents’ access to online services to the emergence of new opportunities for education, business and tourist areas, said Semyon Kmety, Director of MTS in the Yaroslavl Region.
The arrival of modern mobile communications and Internet from MTC in the villages of Kryukovo and Starovo is an important event for our entire district. We solve several tasks at once: improving the quality of life of local residents, ensuring security and giving new opportunities for development. Now our countrymen can use all digital services, and students and scientists at the Uleima biostation can effectively conduct research. This is also an added benefit for guests who visit our protected areas. Thank you to MTS for your cooperation. I am sure that this will become the basis for further growth and development of the Myshkin district, said Anatoly Kuritsyn, head of the Myshkin municipal district.
