Osipovichi plant of transport engineering delivered the first batch of covered cars of BZD

The first batch of covered wagons produced by Osipovichi Plant of Transport Machinery CJSC entered the Belarusian Railway. This was reported in the press center of BZD, writes sb.by.

Covered cars are products of a new type for the Osipovichi enterprise. As noted in the press center, this is the result of interaction with the manufacturer in the field of import substitution.

“The production of the covered wagon was preceded by development work. A prototype was manufactured, its tests and certification, preparation of production for serial production were held, the BZD noted.

Also in Osipovichi mastered the production of a railway trolley, which is used for rolling under freight cars, including in the production of covered cars.

The company produces a covered wagon with an all-metal body of 152 cubic meters and a carrying capacity of more than 69 tons, designed to transport piece, container, packaged, loose and other goods requiring protection from precipitation.

The rolling stock is in demand for the transportation of a wide range of goods, both on domestic and export routes, and from the first days of operation will be put into operation. It is planned that the place of the first loading of new covered cars of Belarusian production will be one of the enterprises of the Belgospishcheprom concern.

Osipovichi Transport Engineering Plant is a new modern enterprise for the production of freight railway rolling stock, universal containers and tank containers. The production capacity of the plant allows to produce up to 2 thousand freight cars per year. Products are sold in the markets of Belarus, the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan.

BZD renews the fleet of freight cars
