The first Nizhny Novgorod economic forum started in the “Mayak Academy”
October 22 at the "A Lighthouse Academy"

On October 22, the first Nizhny Novgorod Economic Forum (16+) started at the A.D. Sakharov Mayak Academy. It is attended by over 600 people from 27 countries – representatives of business, authorities, diplomats and experts.
The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin noted that international relations are developing not easily, but it is necessary to work with a view to the future. The forum helps to establish a direct conversation with foreign partners and create a basis for new joint projects.
The main topics of discussion are international partnership, access of regional companies to foreign markets and attraction of investments. Special attention will be paid to strengthening long-term economic ties and joint projects.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the region and the head of the organizing Committee Dmitry Starostin, the organizers expect that the companies will determine promising areas of supply, find projects for investment and agree on joint production.
The program includes discussions on cooperation within the CIS, BRICS and SCO, interregional cooperation, medical tourism, training for foreign economic work and export of educational services.
