Since the beginning of the year, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange has accredited 387 companies from 64 regions of the Russian Federation to participate in exchange trading. Most of them are business representatives from Moscow, Leningrad, Smolensk, Bryansk and Sverdlovsk regions. The total number of Russian users of the Belarusian exchange platform exceeded 5.3 thousand, which is more than half of BUCE’s foreign clients. This was announced by Yaroslav Kovalchuk, head of the foreign economic activity department of the exchange, speaking in the section “Export of agricultural products to the markets of priority countries” within the framework of the business program of the 41st specialized exhibition-forum “Menovay Dvor”, which takes place on September 16-18 in Orenburg. Details sb.by reported in the press service of BUCE.

The interest of Russian business in the exchange market of the Republic of Belarus is manifested not only in the constant expansion of the circle of participants, but also in the growth of transaction volumes. In January-August, this figure increased by 22 percent, coming close to $ 1 billion in equivalent. At the same time, more than 80 percent of the exchange turnover of Russian companies accounted for agricultural products. These were mainly purchases of Belarusian butter, milk powder, meat products and flax fiber.
Speaking about cooperation between Belarus and the Orenburg region in the field of exchange trade, the representative of BUCE noted the high positive dynamics of trade turnover and the active influx of new participants from this region.
- Compared to January-August last year, Orenburg companies increased the amount of exchange transactions on our platform by 12 times. A key role in this was played by the entry into the auction of a large manufacturer of sheet rolled products from the Orenburg region, which used the exchange mechanism to sell its products in Belarus. I consider this a clear example of the practical use of the exchange as a tool for the development and strengthening of trade and economic relations with the regions of Russia, the head of the BUTB foreign trade department emphasized.
As of September 16, 2026, 18 business entities of the Orenburg region were accredited at BUCE. Products made of ferrous metals were supplied to Belarus through the exchange, and softwood lumber was supplied to the Orenburg region.
