Benefits at the birth of a child in 2027 may exceed 30 thousand

The amount of one-time allowance at the birth of a child in Russia from February 1, 2027 may increase to 30,385 rubles. It is expected that the payment will grow by 6.8%, and the increase will be almost two thousand rubles. This forecast was presented by associate professor of the Financial University under the government of the Russian Federation Igor Balynin, reports Banks.ru.

According to the expert, now the federal allowance is 28,450 rubles 45 kopecks. This amount of payment is valid from February 1, 2026. Before the previous indexation, parents received 26,941 rubles 71 kopecks.

With an estimated increase of 6.8%, the amount of the benefit in 2027 will reach 30,385 rubles 08 kopecks. Thus, in comparison with the current amount, the payment will increase by 1,934 rubles 63 kopecks.

At the same time, this amount is still forecast. The final amount of the benefit will depend on the approved indexation coefficient. It is assumed that the increase will occur from February 1, 2027.

A one-time birth benefit refers to federal family support measures. Unlike monthly payments, it is provided once after the birth of the baby.

The recipient of the allowance may be one of the parents. The payment is fixed and is assigned to each child born.

This means that at the birth of twins, the family is entitled to two lump sum benefits, and when triplets appear, the payment is provided for each of the three children.

Thus, in the implementation of the forecast of Balynin, the total amount of one-time benefits at the birth of twins from February 2027 will be 60 770 rubles 16 kopecks, and at the birth of triplets will reach 91 155 rubles 24 kopecks.

The proposed indexation will affect a one-time allowance at the birth of a child. The size of other child benefits and the conditions for their appointment, the expert did not specify in the forecast.
