Repair of the boiler at the Shchekinskaya GRES will cost 270 million rubles

At the Shchekinskaya GRES in the Tula city of Suvorov, large-scale work is planned to maintain the reliability of power equipment. In 2026, more than 270 million rubles are going to be spent on the manufacture, repair and replacement of the intermediate steam heater of the PC-33-1 steam boiler (station No. 17).

From open sources, it is known that the intermediate steam heater is an important element of the boiler unit: it increases the steam temperature after the cylinder of high turbine pressure, which directly affects the efficiency of the power unit and the stability of electricity generation. Replacement and repair of this unit eliminate the risks of unscheduled stops and maintain the specified parameters of the equipment.

The implementation of this project at the GRES is part of the program of maintenance and modernization of the plant’s production capacities. The works are designed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers and increase the operational reliability of the key equipment of the Shchekinskaya GRES.

Recall, as previously wrote “MK in Tula”, the repair of the main equipment of the Shchekinskaya GRES this year spent 33 million rubles.
