Russia in August significantly increased the supply of nickel to the European Union

In the last month of summer, Russia significantly increased nickel supplies to the European Union. The figures reached a maximum in three years. This is reported by Eurostat.

Nickel and nickel products worth about 111 million euros were imported from Russia. At the same time, the cost of deliveries for the month increased by 20%.

Most of all, the European Union bought nickel stein and intermediate products. 94 million euros were spent on this. Raw nickel and nickel pipes were also imported. The biggest buyer was Finland. In second place is the Netherlands.

Earlier, the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that the energy crisis has already cost the European Union 106 billion euros since the beginning of the war between the United States and Israel against Iran. According to her, since the beginning of the war in the Middle East, the EU has spent an extra hundred and six billion euros on energy resources without purchasing a single extra gas molecule.
