Sber continues to increase the transparency of the mortgage life insurance market: the bank has updated the first public rating of insurance companies by the volume of payments to borrowers. Data for the first half of 2026 (from January 1 to June 30) show an increase in the average level of payments from 38.6% to 40.5%. The rating covers 18 market participants.
The leaders in the share of payments were “SberSurveillance of Life” (93%), “SOGAZ” (60%), “Sovcombank Insurance” (50%), “RESO-Guaranty” and “AlfaSurveillance” (46%). The methodology is based on the share of payments from the total number of claimed insurance cases under Sber’s mortgage programs, writes newstula.ru.
As previously reported by Sbera Ruslan Vesterovsky, Senior Vice President and Head of Welfare Management, the publication of statistics helps customers to evaluate the product not only by cost, but also by its value. The rating was first published on July 2 of this year, then the data are updated every quarter.
The data update is timed to coincide with the conference “Insurance 2030”. Technologies of the Future (November 17, Moscow), organized by SberLife Insurance, SberInsurance and Sber Insurance Broker. The agenda includes scenarios for the development of the industry, the application of AI, as well as what insurance should be to remain understandable, popular and useful. Among the participants were representatives of the regulator, business and the expert community, including Anatoly Aksakov, Ruslan Vesterovsky, Dmitry Markov and Alexander Kraynik.
