According to Shchukin, the main problem is not only limited funds, but also in the effectiveness of their use. “Every budget ruble is a resource owned by citizens. It is unacceptable inefficient and inappropriate spending, he said.
The head of the region noted that the development of the budget refers to specific results: built facilities and repaired roads.
The priorities are energy, water supply and sanitation, waste disposal, road construction, agriculture, tourism, medicine and education. Shchukin said that all existing programs will be audited, strict control over the use of budget funds and personal responsibility for each ruble will be established.
An important reserve, he called real estate objects illegally appropriated by former officials and returned to state ownership on the claims of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
In addition, the head of the region expects that successful Dagestani entrepreneurs will re-register business in the republic so that taxes go to its development.
