Strategic goals for 2026-2030 are defined by the state program of the AIC of the Future. Among them is the production of 10.5 million tons of milk and more than 2 million tons of meat, as well as the growth of exports.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the development of the livestock industry in Belarus is based on modernization, genetics and resource-saving technologies. 75% of the dairy herd is located on 1.7 thousand modern complexes producing 80% of milk. The goal until 2030 is the production of 10.5 million tons of milk with a yield of 7500 kg per cow. For this purpose, construction and reconstruction of about 190 dairy complexes are planned.
As part of the strategy for the development of pig farming (for 2025-2034), four ultra-modern complexes with AI elements are being built: two 100 thousand fattening heads (Gomel and Brest regions) and two 24 thousand heads (Gomel and Minsk regions).
As for poultry farming, since 2025, the construction of a breeding and genetic center for egg breeds is being implemented, as well as breeding enterprises in broiler, turkey and quail directions are being created. In the field of fish farming, it is planned to build eight industrial complexes with a total capacity of 7.1 thousand tons per year.
Also, one of the strategic tasks concerns the further growth of exports of food products and agricultural raw materials. The head of state said in an interview with journalists: We have already done what we thought 10-15 years ago. We received ten billion of our own (we are talking about revenues of $10 billion from exports of food and agricultural raw materials in 2025). - Approx. Belta. And then? How do you get $20 billion from exports? Not only because of rising prices, but also because of the intensification of agricultural development.” He also drew attention to the fact that the yield of Belarusian farmers is approaching a record last year, when more than 11 million tons of grain were harvested, including rapeseed and corn. As for the priorities for the future in agriculture, the President of Belarus called the construction of dairy complexes instead of small farms and a high level of agriculture culture.
To achieve the goals, the Ministry of Agriculture called the maximum use of reserves at the existing production base and the completion of investment projects, the construction of new facilities through competitive selection mechanisms, the widespread introduction of knowledge-intensive technologies, digital transformation, the development of breeding, seed production and reclamation, and the preservation of the financial stability of the industry. “The implementation of these measures guarantees the stability of the national food security system and the high competitiveness of the Belarusian agro-industrial complex in the world market,” the ministry said.
