Construction of technoparks in the region proposed to co-finance from the budget
In the Chelyabinsk region are considering a bill that will expand the powers of the regional Ministry of economic development

In the Chelyabinsk region are considering a bill that will expand the powers of the regional Ministry of economic development. The Ministry wants to transfer additional tasks for the creation and operation of technology parks.
The initiative of Governor Alexei Teksler was discussed at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Economic Policy and Entrepreneurship. We are talking about amendments to the regional law on the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
If the document is adopted, the Ministry of Economic Development will be able to deal not only with the creation, but also modernization and management of technoparks. Such sites are designed for enterprises that need production facilities, laboratories and other infrastructure.
First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Dmitry Kleutin spoke about the proposed financing scheme: 70% of construction costs cover the budget, the remaining 30% is an investor. According to him, this approach is already applied in other regions.
Deputies expect that the expansion of the network of technology parks will help small and medium-sized enterprises to gain access to equipped areas, including on the terms of preferential lease. Among the expected results are attracting investment, launching production facilities and the emergence of jobs. These are plans, not approved projects.
The bill has yet to be considered at the next legislative meeting.
