More than 2.1 thousand units of equipment and more than 2 thousand road workers will go to the winter cleaning of the roads of the Moscow region

Road services of the Moscow region switched to the winter maintenance of the regional road network. More than 2.1 thousand units of specialized equipment and more than 2 thousand road workers are involved in snow removal and ensuring safe movement of transport and pedestrians, the Ministry of Transport of the Moscow region reported.

According to the Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the region Marat Sibatulin, Mosavtodor specialists prepared more than 2.1 thousand cars for the season. It is planned to use about 680 combined road cars and graders for cleaning and processing the carriageway, and more than 350 tractors and mini-forklifts for cleaning sidewalks, pedestrian areas and approaches to stops. In addition, more than 650 units of attachments and additional equipment were prepared, including rotors, brushes and sand spreaders. For storage of snow in 27 districts have already identified specialized sites.

Particular attention in winter will be paid to timely cleaning of sidewalks, pedestrian crossings and landing sites of public transport stops. Small specialized equipment will be used to clean narrow areas and territories with dense urban development.

Drivers will continue to monitor weather conditions around the clock and, if necessary, carry out preventive treatment of the roadway with deicing materials to prevent the formation of ice. For these purposes, about 650 thousand tons of anti-icing materials have already been prepared.

In addition, within the framework of winter maintenance, Mosavtodor specialists will continue to eliminate defects in the road surface. Depending on the air temperature, cold asphalt-concrete mixtures will be used for pit repairs at temperatures up to -5 ° C or cast asphalt-concrete, which allows you to work in various weather conditions without using special sealing equipment.

Control over the implementation of all works on the regional road network of the Moscow region will be carried out with the help of a specialized system of control and planning of work in the field of road infrastructure.
