Tambov region will receive about 3 billion rubles for the creation of engineering infrastructure of the Tambov special economic zone

The Tambov region will receive about 3 billion rubles for the creation of engineering infrastructure of the Tambov special economic zone. The corresponding decision was announced on October 22 at a meeting of the headquarters of the Government Commission for Regional Development, which was held by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. The head of the region Evgeny Pervyshov participated in the meeting on video-conference and reported on the progress of the project.
On behalf of Marat Khusnullin, the funds will be directed to a comprehensive investment project: the construction of the energy infrastructure of a single industrial zone, as well as water supply and sanitation networks.
Tambov SEZ will become a new industrial cluster in the northern part of the regional center. It will be located on a plot of 15 hectares in the area of Aviation, Main and Bastionnaya streets. The key feature of the project is ready-made production buildings with a total area of up to 42 thousand square meters. Residents will be able to rent or buy premises, which significantly reduces the entry threshold for small and medium-sized businesses.
“There will be more than 1,200 decent-paying jobs in large industrial enterprises. It is planned that tax and non-tax revenues of the consolidated budget of the region will exceed 25 billion rubles, Evgeny Pervyshov wrote in social networks.
Thus, the new economic zone should become a driver of the industrial development of the region and create conditions for attracting investors to the real sector of the economy.
