Cleaning campaign in Chuvashia is nearing completion with high rates

In Chuvashia recorded high yields as the completion of a large-scale harvesting campaign, which allows the region to ensure food security.

The season for potato growers was especially successful: almost 119 thousand tons were harvested with a yield of about 320 c / ha, which is enough to completely cover the needs of the republic. More than 19 thousand tons of open ground vegetables were harvested, including more than 8 thousand tons of onions.

Cleaning of industrial crops is actively continuing: more than 76 thousand tons were collected from an area of 29.5 thousand hectares (72.4% of the plan). The harvest of hops with a yield of 16.6 c / ha has been completely completed.

Head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev noted that the region continues to strengthen its traditions of hop farming, and expressed confidence that the current pace of work will allow farmers to remove the entire harvest to the maximum.
