According to the director of the enterprise Anatoly Venediktov, "Elema" has been working for 96 years. The company currently employs about 740 people, including retailers. It has 34 stores all over Belarus. The company also has its own network in Russia, and through the online store products are supplied abroad. Every year the company produces about 180 thousand products.

The company has an experimental workshop. Here, according to the sketches of designers, prototypes are created and determine in what sizes and growths the model will be produced. Then decide whether to launch the product into mass production. In addition, the specialists of the workshop finalize the models, if during serial tailoring there are technological difficulties.

The company is constantly improving production and updating the range, following the rapidly changing fashion. “We try to implement everything that is in demand: using modern fabrics, textures and processing methods. Technological base and qualification of personnel allow to produce products of any complexity. Therefore, we pay special attention to design, materials and fashion trends, added Anatoly Venediktov.

In addition to the production tour, Vladimir Kukharev met with the company’s staff. He spoke about the cooperation of the city with enterprises and cited the example of the Minsk City Technopark, which, according to him, is a successful platform for business development. The meeting also discussed the construction of the metro, electrification of urban transport, the creation of a third transport ring, the maintenance of roads and other topics.

Employees asked about the system of paid parking. Vladimir Kukharev explained that parking is paid only in the daytime. This measure, according to him, is designed to streamline traffic in the central part of the city and create conditions for convenient movement and parking.

Touching upon the topic of shopping centers, the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee said that priority is given to opening small stores. According to him, the city has about 11 thousand stores of different formats – from small to large, and in general this number is enough.

“Small shops are within walking distance, so people are comfortable shopping and finding what they need. In shopping centers, of course, there is a wider range. However, a network of small and medium-sized stores allows to ensure the availability of trade and reduce the burden on individual territories, he said.

In addition, employees of the company were interested in the development of a network of electric charging stations, measures to regulate the behavior of users of personal mobility devices and even solving issues related to the appearance of beavers in the capital.
