In Belarus removed 20% of the area of potatoes – more than 150 thousand tons

According to operational data on the morning of September 14, in agricultural organizations and peasant farms, potatoes were harvested from 20 percent of the country’s area, which is more than 4 thousand hectares from the plan of 22 thousand hectares. This was reported by sb.by in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

152 thousand tons of potatoes were dug up with an average yield of 349 centners per hectare. By area, the situation is as follows: Brest — 22 thousand tons, Vitebsk — 13 thousand tons, Gomel — 18 thousand tons, Grodno — 12 thousand tons, Minsk — 34 thousand tons, Mogilev — 53 thousand tons.

The country's farmers threshed 9 million 239 thousand tons of grain, including rapeseed. In terms of regions, the Minsk region leads, where the hammer reached 2 million 434 thousand tons. Grodno region threshed 1 million 845 thousand tons, Brest - 1 million 678 thousand tons. In the Mogilev region, this figure was 1 million 215 thousand tons, in Gomel - 1 million 94 thousand tons, in Vitebsk - 973 thousand tons.

Smells under the sowing of winter grain 888 thousand hectares, which is 59 percent of the plan of 1 million 500 thousand hectares (360,000 hectares more than in the same period last year). Winter grains for grain were sown in all regions of the country on an area of 421,000 hectares, or 28 percent of the plan. All areas are moving faster than last year.

655 thousand tons of food grain (99 percent of the plan of 663,000 tons) and 94 thousand tons of brewing barley (109 percent of the plan of 86 thousand tons) were delivered to the state order.

Sugar beets were removed from an area of 24,000 hectares, or 22 percent of the plan of 109,000 hectares. 1 million 49 thousand tons of root crops were dug up with an average yield of 436 centners per hectare. By area, we've found: Brest — 117 thousand tons, Vitebsk — 2 thousand tons, Grodno — 362 thousand tons, Minsk — 472 thousand tons, Mogilev — 96 thousand tons.

Corn is removed from 25 percent of the area, which is 235,000 hectares. The second biting of grass cut on 948 thousand hectares, which is 94 percent of the plan of 1 million 10 thousand hectares. Hay harvested 589 thousand tons (82 percent of the plan), hay — 12 million 656 thousand tons (88 percent of the plan), silage — 4 million 735 thousand tons (21 percent of the plan). The total volume of harvested herbal feed in terms of feed units reached 5 million 138 thousand tons, or 51 percent of the annual plan of 10 million 131 thousand tons.

For the upcoming sowing of winter crops, there are 301 thousand tons of active substance of mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus and potash), which is 174 percent of the plan.
