At the V International Forum of Economic Cooperation in the capital on September 11, the Minsk branch of the BelCCI and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the emirate of Fujairah (UAE) signed a document on cooperation, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
- I am glad to be in Minsk today and to work in Minsk. The purpose of today’s meeting is to sign the agreement, said Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Mullah. This is necessary for Belarusian and Arab businessmen to get additional opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. Fujairah is the most important logistics and trade hub through which a variety of goods can be supplied. The main priority for us is the food industry.
The agreement is aimed at establishing direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, simplifying logistics and developing mutual trade.
For reference
The Emirate of Fujairah occupies a unique geographical position in the east of the UAE, being the only region of the country with direct access to the Gulf of Oman of the Indian Ocean. Due to this, the local seaport and the free economic zone (Fujairah Free Zone) serve as the largest international logistics hub. The hub’s infrastructure allows for the delivery and distribution of goods around the world, completely bypassing the congested Strait of Hormuz.
