In Pomorie summed up the preliminary results of forage and harvesting campaigns
In Arkhangelsk held a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of agro-industrial complex and trade of the region, held in the mode of video-conference

In Arkhangelsk, a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex and Trade of the region was held in the video-conference mode. The main topic of discussion was the preliminary results of spring field work, feed harvesting and harvesting.
Governor Alexander Tsybulsky noted in social networks that the weather this year has tested the strength of farmers: heavy rains during the harvesting period led to moisture. Despite this, the farms of Pomorie coped with the main task - prepared forage and almost completed the harvest.
The total sown area in all categories of farms amounted to 50.3 thousand hectares, maintaining the level of the previous year. In the collective sector, spring sowing took place on an area of 11,148 hectares.
Minister of Agriculture and Trade of the region Irina Bazhanova said that, despite the difficult climatic conditions, commodity producers have fulfilled the plan to harvest green feed in most municipalities in full. One conventional head of cattle accounts for 23.2 centners of feed units. Taking into account the residues of past feed, this guarantees a successful wintering of livestock in the period 2026-2027.
To date, about 36.3 thousand hectares of forage land have been harvested in the region. Over 263 thousand tons of silo, 19.4 thousand tons of hay and more than 13.6 thousand tons of hay were harvested.
Special attention was paid to the state of the soil and the quality of harvested feed in conditions of high humidity. Elena Kosareva, Director of the Arkhangelsk branch of RosAgrochemsluzhba, noted that specialists monitor agricultural soils as part of the state task, and the quality of feed directly depends on the content of the main elements in the soil. Following the results of the monitoring, farms will be given recommendations on the introduction of mineral and organic fertilizers to compensate for losses and prepare the ground for the next season.
By the third decade of October, potato harvesting was performed by 87.3%: 1,223.7 hectares were harvested, 22,101 tons were harvested with an average yield of 180.6 centners per hectare. Cleaning of open ground vegetables is nearing completion - 93.5% of the area was removed, 820 tons were collected.
In order to reduce economic losses in agriculture of the region, the board discussed the proposal of RosAgrokhimsservice on the phased introduction of an adaptive and landscape farming system in the region. It includes the system of crop rotation, the application of fertilizers, soil cultivation, plant protection, seed issues and, most importantly, the identification of reserves to improve economic efficiency. Pilot projects to implement such a system are already being implemented in Tatarstan, Omsk, the Rostov region, the Udmurt Republic and a number of other regions. The issue of possible options for interaction with farms will begin in the near future with the involvement of specialists from the Center for Agricultural Competences, the Ministry of Agriculture and Trade of the region and RosAgrokhimsluzhba.
