In the ranking of regions on the NTR, Mari El fell by 8 lines
In the ranking of regions for scientific and technological development, Mari El took 44th place.
RIA Rating experts studied the data of Rosstat and Rospatent for 2025 in order to assess the human resources and material and technical base involved in the field of science and technology, as well as the scale and effectiveness of scientific and technological activities in each region.
The rating is headed by Moscow, Tatarstan and St. Petersburg, which scored 82.54, 73.2 and 70.17 points. Close the list of Karachay-Cherkessia, Chechnya and Ingushetia and 12.67, 12.15 and 6.48 points.
Our republic is in 44th place with 33.69 points. At the end of 2024, Mari El scored 37.74 points, taking 36th place.
For comparison, Nizhny Novgorod region is in fourth place with 65.79, Chuvashia on 22nd with 45.32 and Kirov region on 33rd with 39.01 points.
