The event was led by the Chairman of the Committee, Chairman of the State Standard of Belarus Dmitry Basko.
Heads of the central office of the State Standard, BelGISS, BelGIM, BSCA, profile structures of the Russian Federation and the Standing Committee of the Union State also participated in the meeting in person and online.
The agenda included six issues, both organizational and practical.
The head of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Russian Federation Anton Shalaev and adviser to the State Secretary of the Union State Alexey Mednikov were appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Committee.
Until November 1, the Committee’s work plan for 2026-2027 will be revised. The main condition for revision, as the Chairman of the Committee Dmitry Basko emphasized, is to fill the document with practice-oriented measures with access to concrete results, and the timing should be optimal.
It is also important to remember that the issues that we consider in the format of “two”, in the future, can be initiated on the “five” (EAEU). Having worked out any relevant aspects, finding a consensus among themselves, move on to other integration platforms. It will also be a good practical result, he said.
Regulations on the Union State Standards Fund have been approved.
The criteria for including standards in the fund are their development within the framework of the Union programs for standardization, as well as Belarusian standards recognized for use in the Russian Federation, and Russian standards introduced as state standards in Belarus. Documents must be approved or validated within five years.
The importance of digitalization for market protection and verification of conformity confirmation documents and test reports (research) for the products being traded was noted.
It was decided to adjust the algorithm for forming a list of current standards for development on the Union site.
Standardization programmes will be developed indicating the objectives and results of the work, as well as the identification of funding sources.
Six standardization plans are currently being implemented in various areas. Their implementation is proceeding as planned, but the parties unanimously noted that next year it is necessary to intensify work in order to go ahead.
A new plan has been approved to develop standards for plastics and their products.
Within the framework of the draft Guidelines for the implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State for 2027-2029, the parties agreed both in determining the directions of work and plans of measures for their implementation.
