Major repairs of the bridge crossing on the fifth kilometer of the Ust-Padenga-Verhopadenga-Kerzenga highway are carried out within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”. The total length of the object with approaches is 205 meters, the length of the bridge itself is 72.7 meters.
To date, the bridgemen have completed the construction of the bypass bridge: the object is practically formed - the supports and the pavement have been erected, the fence has been installed, earth approaches to the temporary detour have been made. The immediate plans are to equip approaches, after which it will be possible to open a working movement.
Approximately until mid-November for a temporary detour will start transport – according to the contract term. Then the facility will announce a technological break: the dismantling of the main bridge and the formation of a new bridge is scheduled for 2027.
The existing bridge will be completely replaced. The project provides for the construction of new reinforced concrete piles and metal span structures. The bridge will be made of wooden flooring with a double board covering. The roadway of the new structure will have two lanes with a total width of 6 meters.
