In Tutaev reincarnated the cable car project

The administration of the Tutaevsky municipal district has again published the project documentation of the rope suspension crossing across the Volga. The latest version of the document was signed on October 8.

According to the documentation, the cable car will begin on Lunacharsky Street, having a length of 1260 meters. The gondola will be alone. The project estimates the number of people transported at 500 passengers per hour.

Recall that the project of a cable car, similar to the one that operates in Nizhny Novgorod, proposed to implement in Tutaev, the Deputy of the regional Duma Yuri Pavlov in 2013. After 9 years of approvals and approvals, the project was ready. The funds for its implementation were to be provided by the BRICS Bank. But in 2022, the bank refused to invest in the Tutayev rope crossing. The project was frozen.

Meanwhile, the city badly needs a year-round safe passenger crossing. Safe and fast movement of residents from shore to shore is a problem that the city authorities solve only in the summer, during the operation of the ferry on the Volga. In winter, walking on ice can be unsafe. In the off-season, the crossing is given to airboats.
