In the Zaporozhye region plan to repair more than 1,300 km of roads

On October 18, Governor Yevgeny Balitsky congratulated road workers on their professional holiday and spoke about the progress in the restoration of road infrastructure in the Zaporozhye region.

According to the announced data, in the period from 2022 to 2026, more than 1,300 kilometers of highways will be brought into the regulatory state. In particular, in 2025, it was possible to repair more than 340 km of roadway, and in 2024 - 214 km of roads and about 50 km of street and road network in settlements.

The head of the region stressed the special importance of overhauling the federal highway R-280 Novorossiya. According to him, this highway is a strategically important route: it provides transport links of the Zaporizhzhia region with other regions and contributes to the development of the economy and logistics.

Evgeny Balitsky noted that the measures already give a tangible effect - comfort for drivers is improved, logistics costs of enterprises are reduced, road safety is increased. The Governor expressed gratitude to the staff of SUE UAZO and all employees of the road industry for professionalism and conscientious work, and wished them further success in their work.
