The development of artificial intelligence, robotics and space technology may lead to the fact that traditional money will lose its current value. This assumption was made by American entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Elon Musk admitted that in the future humanity may move to an economic system in which the usual money will not be needed. His views on the prospects of the global economy, the entrepreneur shared in the podcast of the American writer Walter Isaacson.

According to Musk, artificial intelligence and robotics will play a significant role in the transformation of the economic system. Another factor he called space exploration, which, according to the entrepreneur, can increase the scale of the economy a million times.

Musk did not rule out that the currency will remain in the future, but its value and valuation principles will change. Instead of existing financial benchmarks, physical indicators, including mass, power and energy, can be used.

The entrepreneur also expressed confidence that over time, artificial intelligence and robots will outperform humans in all kinds of activities.
