About the work of the economy of the capital, increasing the volume of the Investment program, the growth of investments of organizations in fixed assets, said the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev in an interview with “Evening Minsk” on the eve of the 959th anniversary of the city, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
V. Kukharev noted that one of the main achievements of Minsk is that its economy is operating stably. This applies to all areas. They worked systematically, ensuring the completion of all tasks. This means that the city budget received the necessary amount of tax deductions.
- It is through this that we can fulfill our social obligations. Minsk is a complex mechanism, and all its components must work properly, the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee noted.
The implementation of the Minsk Investment Program continues. It determines the volumes and directions of use of the city budget funds, which are used for capital construction, reconstruction and development of the city infrastructure. The volume of the investment program is constantly increasing and this year already exceeds 2 billion BYN.
- The third important achievement, which I would like to note, is a good growth rate of investments of capital organizations in fixed assets, the head of the city said. In the first half of the year alone, their volume exceeded BYN 5.9 billion with a growth rate of 110.2%. A significant share falls on the purchase of new equipment, which gives enterprises opportunities for development. After all, our enterprises are mainly export-oriented, directing 80-85% of production to foreign markets. And in order to compete at the proper level, it is necessary to introduce new technologies and production capacities.
