Tula authorities increased the volume of borrowing from banks by 24%

The administration of Tula continues to collect loans to service municipal debt, as can be seen from the document Strategy of socio-economic development of the municipality of Tula until 2030 and for the future until 2036.

For example, in 2025, compared to 2024, municipal debt decreased by 2%. At the same time, the volume of borrowing from credit institutions increased by 24.4%.

The share of such loans in the structure of municipal debt increased from 56.6% in 2024 to 71.8% in 2025. The cost of servicing municipal debt increased by 3.6%. In the budget of Tula, these costs amounted to 1.14%, which is much higher than the average for the cities of the Central Federal District - 0.49%. The trend of borrowing by credit institutions is becoming more noticeable.

Recall, as previously wrote “MK in Tula”, in August of this year, the Tula administration was going to open 8 new credit lines for 2.4 billion rubles. In the form of interest on them will pay more than 390 million rubles.
